Chiefs QB Tyler Palko to the Bench, Stanzi or Orton Up

Todd Haley got fired Monday and since then Romeo Crennel has replaced him on an interim basis.  One of Crennel’s first moves as Interim HC will involve sitting QB Tyler Palko ALL THE WAY DOWN.

Old Romeo has announced that Kyle Orton will start Sunday against Green Bay if his finger is ready to go.  If not, rookie QB Ricky Stanzi from Iowa will get his first career start, and nothing is better for a rookie QB than to get thrown into the fire against the NFL’s best defense when it comes to creating a turnover.  I guess you might as well find out what resilience he has, just in case you realize (if you already haven’t) Cassel isn’t the answer.

Palko has completed 80 of 134 passes for 796 yards, 2 TDs and 7 INTs in 6 games.
